Prince Harry and Ed Sheeran On Fatherhood
The WellChild Awards had a slew of surprise celebrities including Prince Harry and Ed Sheeran. The pair met at the private party for the children and healthcare workers and passed a few fun jokes between them.
Both the Duke of Sussex and the "Shape of You" singer became fathers to baby girls recently. According to Hello!, Ed told Harry: "Congratulations, a girl, right? We just had a little girl ten months ago now. You're still in the trenches now! How do you manage with two?"
The Duke responded, "Two is definitely a juggle!" Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born June 4th, making little Archie a big brother. Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn gave birth to their first child Lyra Antarctica last year as well!
Harry also told a guest of the WellChild Awards that "We've been lucky so far, she's very chilled and seems happy to just sit there while Archie is running around like crazy."
Another guest was the mother of sweet 11-year-old Harvey Eustace. Harvey has autism and received an award for making a memory garden for his community to reflect and mourn for those they lost to the coronavirus. His mother Steph said of Prince Harry, "He was saying the baby is lovely. He was so down to earth, it was really nice to see him back here."
Another guest gave Prince Harry their condolences for losing his grandfather Prince Philip. Harry was incredibly grateful and said "He had great innings. He was 99 and he was adamant that he never wanted to live to 100."
