On Jan. 12, the only child of rock legend Elvis Presley passed away. Lisa Marie Presley was an American singer known by many as the daughter of Elvis and mother of Riley Keough.

On Jan. 21, a public memorial was held in Presley's honour. It was of course attended by her mother, Priscilla, her daughters, her show business friends, and Sarah Ferguson.

During the service, the singer's family members dedicated touching words and said their goodbyes. Sarah Ferguson, who had a strong connection with Lisa Marie, also spoke in her memory.

Lisa Marie Presley dies: Sarah Ferguson's touching tribute

Following the news, Ferguson had posted an old photo she took with the singer. On Instagram, she wrote: "You have been my devoted friend for many years and I am here for your family to support and love them."

Then at the funeral service at Graceland, Fergie remembered how the two would call each other "sister." They spent time together all throughout their lives.

Also interesting:

"Sissy, this is for you with affection," the royal said. "My late mother-in-law used to say that nothing [that] can be said can begin to take away the anguish and the pain of these moments, because grief is the price we pay for love. And how right she was."

In her tribute, Sarah also spoke about being a mother and how she will support Lisa Marie Presley's three daughters.

"For Riley, for Harper and Finley and the entire family, we march forward in support of you. All of us are with you"...
