Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella are going through a difficult time right now. The 7-year-old twins currently have to do without their mother, Princess Charlene, who is in a clinic.

Their father Prince Albert lovingly cares for them, but it seems the twins are really relying on each other these days. We got to see this bond in new photos of the mini royals at the Sainte Dévote ceremony.

Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella: Sweet twin look in new photos

In the photos, Gabriella and Jacques are on the palace balcony together with their father and aunt Princess Caroline of Hanover. Gabriella sweetly took her brother's hand, and the two watched the spectacle while holding hands.

It's even cuter since the two are wearing matching outfits. The twins wore the traditional red and blue look to the festival: Jacques in a cute jacket and tie, Gabriella in a checked dress and cute headband.

The twins also had to spend the Monegasque holiday without their mother. She has been in a clinic for weeks.

Charlene has not been doing well physically and mentally, Prince Albert previously told People. Since then, the twins have mastered their lives alone with their father.

School enrolment, birthdays, Christmas — Charlene has missed many events. It's no wonder that this brings the siblings together even more.

When Princess Charlene will return to her family is still unknown. This week, the palace announced that her recovery "should still take a few weeks," but they promisingly noted her treatment is "continuing in a satisfying and highly encouraging way."
