• Lady Diana passed away in 1997
  • Despite this, she is still present in the life of her family
  • Princess Charlotte proves it

Mother's Day was celebrated in Great Britain on Sunday. Of course, like normal kids, Prince George (9), Princess Charlotte (7) and Prince Louis (4) celebrated their mother Duchess Kate (41). But she is not the only royal honoured by the children every year.

For Lady Diana: Princess Charlotte's special gesture

Princess Charlotte writes a card every Mother's Day to her late grandmother Lady Diana (†36), as the palace announced. Together with her brother Prince George, she honours Diana with sweet words. What was in their cards this year is not known.

However, in 2021, the cards designed by Princess Charlotte and Prince George were already published on their parents' official Twitter account.

Princess Charlotte wrote on her pink card: "Dear Grandma Diana, I'm thinking of you on Mother's Day. I love you very much. Dad misses you. Lots of love from Charlotte.”

An easy one: She was the mother of which Queen?

Prince George's green card read: "Dear Grandma Diana, Happy Mother's Day. I love you very much and I always think of you. Kind regards from George." Even Prince Louis commemorated his grandmother, whom he never got to know, with a self-made card.

Prince William (40) therefore makes sure that his children know about their deceased grandmother and regularly tells them about their "granny". So George, Charlotte and Louis shall know "that there are two grandmothers in their life", the Royal reported years ago.

The cards written annually by Princess Charlotte and her siblings show that he has been very successful so far and that Lady Diana continues to hold an important place in the family.
