- Prince Charles finally met his granddaughter Lilibet
- Prince Harry and Meghan brought their kids to the UK
- A royal insider opened up about the "emotional" time
For Lilibet, the trip to England in June was her first time visiting her father's homeland. While her brother Archie was born in England, the daughter of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan was born in America.
But the Royal Family finally got to meet Lilibet on Harry and Meghan's visit for Queen Elizabeth's 70th anniversary. In addition to the Queen, Prince Harry's father, Prince Charles, was also allowed to see his granddaughter for the first time.
Prince Charles met baby Lilibet and this is how it went
As a royal insider now revealed, the first meeting was very "emotional" for Prince Charles. "It was fantastic to see them. [...] The Prince and the Duchess were absolutely thrilled to see them," the insider told the BBC.
Also interesting:
Especially for their grandfather, it was something special. "[Prince Charles] hadn't met Lilibet, his granddaughter, and so to meet her for the first time was I think very emotional, a very wonderful thing," added an insider.
How nice that Lilibet and Archie finally got to know their relatives from England better. When Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will return to England again is not known.
It's possible they will appear at the birthday party of Prince William and Duchess Kate in the summer. But it remains to be seen if Archie and Lilibet will come along once again...
