Le Touquet-Paris-Plage International Airport will be renamed to add "Elizabeth II" at the beginning, after receiving approval from King Charles III.
The "most British" tourist destination in France
According to 'sky news', town officials have said it is to recognize its status as "the most British of French resorts."
Although the airport does not yet offer travel to the public (it is mostly comprised of private jet travel), it intends to open its doors to the public. According to the town, King Edward VIII used to travel to the town for horseback riding and yachting.
