For King Charles, 2022 was a sad but also very important year. He had to cope with the death of his beloved mother, Queen Elizabeth II – but he was in the process "promoted" to King of the United Kingdom.
And yet, even this year, he is not the royal considered to have worked the most. It's no surprise either: His sister Princess Anne has once again worked the hardest on behalf of the Crown.
Princess Anne: Most events by a royal yet again in 2022
Princess Anne attended a whopping 204 events – 24 of them in July alone. The late Queen's only daughter frequently tops the list of royals to attend the most events.
In second place comes King Charles, who worked just as diligently after his sister. 181 professional appointments go to his account.

And the third of the group is Prince Edward. He also did a decent job in 2022 and ends up behind his siblings. Following in fourth is his wife Sophie of Wessex.
Prince William takes fifth place. Once again we see that it is the highest-ranking royals who work the hardest for the Crown.
Queen Camilla and Princess Kate also feature in the Top 10, along with more distant relatives of the royals.
