On Wednesday, the Duchess of Cornwall has showed off some impressive acting skills in a new video that has her doing a dramatic reading with Oscar-winning actors like Lupita Nyong'o, Josh Gad - all in character! The entire reading (which, of course, took place via videoconference) of the popular children's book was directed by filmmaker Taika Waititi, another Oscar-winner.

Duchess Camilla played the role of the surprised Ship's Captain, who sees a Giant Peach fly by: "Holy cats! Send a message to the Queen at once! The country must be warned!"

She told director Taika Waititi before delivering her reading: "I'm thrilled to do it, not that I'm much of an actor, but I shall do my best."

She did her reading from her residence in Scotland, Birkhall, where she and Prince Charles have been in self-isolation ever since the lockdown was imposed in March. The reading of James & The Giant Peach is part of a campaign supported by the Roald Dahl Story Company and Taika Waititi that helps charities impacted by COVID-19, including Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.
