• Was Chumlee ever removed from Pawn Stars?
  • The star recently faced serious legal issues
  • But Chumlee is, in fact, still on Pawn Stars today

Pawn Stars fan-favourite Chumlee had a tough stretch a few years back. The TV personality, who has been on Pawn Stars since 2009, was arrested in 2016 and hit with drug and gun charges. Did the scandal get Chumlee removed from Pawn Stars?

Pawn Stars reveal: Chumlee is still on the show today

Despite Chumlee's legal troubles, he was not removed from Pawn Stars. The star, whose real name is Austin Russell, was absent for a period of time around his arrest.

But Chumlee pleaded guilty in 2016 and avoided jail time. His plea deal got him three years of probation and counselling.

Before you knew it, Chumlee was back at Rick Harrison's pawn shop. He reappeared on Pawn Stars in 2017 and has been a regular star ever since. Nor have we seen any more legal issues for the TV star.

Also interesting:

Though he looks pretty different today, Chumlee continues to help out at TV's most famous pawn shop, where he's worked since 2003. You'll still see him in new episodes of Pawn Stars, and he posts about the show on Instagram.

Chumlee is a childhood friend of Corey "Big Hoss" Harrison, and Pawn Stars just wouldn't be the same without him.

Pawn Stars has been on the air since 2009 and, with Chumlee aboard, there doesn't appear to be an end in sight.
