T.R. Knight is probably best known as "George O’Malley" on Grey's Anatomy. He landed his star role in 2005 and stayed on the show until 2009.
This made "George" one of the original favourites at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, along with others like Ellen Pompeo, Sandra Oh, and Katherine Heigl. But Knight exited at the end of season 5 in one of TV's most shocking deaths.

Since his days on Grey's Anatomy, Knight has devoted himself to many new projects. The actor, who started his career in the theatre, decided to go back to his origins and focused on various roles on and off Broadway.
On TV, the "George" actor was seen mainly in smaller roles, including on Law & Order: SVU and The Good Wife. From 2017 to 2018 he appeared in 10 episodes of Genius. Since 2020, he has been part of the Kaley Cuoco comedy The Flight Attendant.
T.R. Knight: Husband, 2020 return on Grey's Anatomy
While "George" never found true love on Grey's Anatomy, T.R. Knight found his dream man in real life. The actor has been married to ballet dancer Patrick B. Leahy since 2013.
In 2020, there was also a nice surprise for all Grey's fans: "George" reappeared on the series in one of the dreams of "Meredith," who falls ill with COVID-19 in season 17.
Knight was among the major comebacks in the latest season, which also included appearances by Patrick Dempsey but not Sandra Oh or Katherine Heigl.
