The news might not come as as a big surprise but we are glad to hear it nonetheless. ABC has announced that at least two more seasons of Grey's Anatomy are coming. The show has had a huge fan following all around the world for almost 15 years now.

With its 15th season, Grey's Anatomy became the longest-running medical drama of all time. The very first episode aired back in 2005 and introduced the world to "Meredith Grey" (Ellen Pompeo, 49), "Alex Karev" (Justin Chambers, 48) and all the others. Now the Grey's Anatomy veteran Ellen Pompeo has extended her contract for two more seasons and thus will be starring in the 16th and 17th season of the show. There were rumors about her staying on before, which have now been confirmed!

In addition, "Deadline" reports that Chris Carmack ("Atticus Lincoln", 38), Jake Borelli ("Levi 'Glasses' Schmitt", 28) and Greg Germann ("Thomas Koracick", 61) will be part of the main cast starting with season 16. That's good news for all fans of the show, after Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw both said farewell at the end of season 14.
