Grey's Anatomy season 16 premiered just yesterday and we are very happy to see the doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial again on screen! As always, the show brought a little bit of drama and tears, but also a couple of shocking surprises. If you were not able to watch the first episode of the most recent season keep reading because we have all the info for you!

Let's not forget the fact that during season 15 "Jo" (Camilla Luddington) asked her partner "Alex" (Justin Chambers) for help after finding out that she was conceived when her birth mom was raped by her father. Last night fans were very surprised to see that "Alex" actually drops "Jo" off at a psychiatric clinic in order to begin a month stay. "I became another name on your list of crazy women,” "Jo" said before giving him "an out" since they never filed their marriage license. When she gets out of the psychiatric facility, "Alex" actually proposes to her by saying: "You offered me an out. You were right. I was scared, so I thought about it and what I know for sure now is I’m a better man with you. I want to be your husband. I want you to be my wife.” And of course she said "yes!"

Grey's Anatomy season 16 airs every Thursday

Later on the drama kept going! While "Jackson" (Jesse Williams) and "Maggie" (Kelly McCreary) were trying to avoid each other after deciding to separate, "Teddy" (Kim Raver) was struggling with motherhood issues but actually considered to start a new chapter with "Owen" (Kevin McKidd.)

But what about "Meredith" (Ellen Pompeo), "Richard" (James Pickens Jr.), and "Andrew's" (Giacomo Gianniotti) insurance fraud? It seems that the future of the Grey Sloan Memorial doctors could dramatically change, but the only way of finding it out is by staying tuned every Thursday on ABC. We still have 23 more episodes to watch!
