It may appear on TV that real people are being operated on, but of course they aren't. In order to make the scenes look real, Grey's Anatomy uses bovine organs. This creates a certain smell that would be almost unbearable for some. But when you're making millions of dollars per season, a little stink tends to be no problem at all!
