Fran Drescher appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday to promote her now NBC show Indebted. While talking to host Seth Meyers, Drescher also looked back at one of the most famous guest stars on her former show The Nanny: Donald Trump, now the President of the United States.

As it turns out, "an interesting story" took place when Trump appeared on The Nanny as a guest star, that actually ended up changing the script of the episode that he was a part of!

The Nanny: Donald Trump was a guest star in 1996

"I stood in this scene and I said to the two of them, 'Oh, all you millionaires are alike,'" Drescher explained to Meyers of the scene in which POTUS appeared in 1996.

"And Peter (Marc Jacobson, creator of The Nanny) - now my gay ex-husband - got a note from his assistant, Donald Trump’s assistant, that said, 'Mr. Trump is not a millionaire. He’s a billionaire, and we’d like you to change the script,'" Drescher explained.

But she thought that using the word "billionaire" was a little "too on the money". Drescher added: "Cause I know Fran would've, you know, described everyone who was rich as a millionaire, but to say 'billionaire' seems like a specific choice."

"So we asked them if it would be okay if we wrote 'zillionaire' and he said that was fine," she told Meyers and laughed. Fran Drescher's new sitcom Indebted premieres on February 6 2020 at 9:30pm (8:30 central) on NBC.
