Drama, fantasy, and lots of vampires! That's what can be seen in The Vampire Diaries, an American series based on the novel series by Lisa Jane Smith. The Vampire Diaries was created by Kevin Williamson, and originally began airing in 2009, and after eight seasons, the series concluded in 2017, leaving a huge number of fans who enjoyed this production more than seven years.

Despite receiving both positive and negative reviews since its launch, The Vampire Diaries garnered several awards, including four People's Choice Awards as well as several Teen Choice Awards.
