• 'NCIS: L.A.' was a hit TV drama
  • There's a new spin-off in Australia
  • Will THIS 'NCIS' star be featured in the spin-off?

After we had to say goodbye to 'NCIS: LA' this year fans can look forward to the spin-off 'NCIS: Sydney'. And one of the franchise stars is calling for the return of his character. If you love the show, you might be ready to scream in excitement at these news. 'NCIS: L.A.' star Eric Christian Olsen (46), who played former LAPD investigator "Marty Deeks" for 14 seasons, wants to return and reprise his role in the spin-off. A video teaser for the upcoming spin-off was published on the franchise's official social media channels and fans are buzzing...

Eric can bring real star power

Under the Instagram clip Eric Christian Olsen left a comment in which the actor posted something that peaked everyone's interest, saying this: "Deeks loves surfing and Oz has great waves...."

With that, the actor officially hinted at his desire that his character could find a new home in the 'NCIS' universe. Whether he'll actually get his wish remains to be seen, but it's clear that fans would love that to bits!

The cast of the series includes Olivia Swann (30), Todd Lasance (38) and William McInnes (60). But not Eric Christian Olsen, so officially "Deeks" will not return. But maybe the series creators will read the comment under the post and bring the Sonnyboy to Australia.

"'NCIS’ is one of the most popular series in the world and we’re thrilled to expand this franchise with a uniquely Australian twist,” said CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach in a statement. “With the addition of ‘NCIS: Sydney,’ our studio and network footprint continues to grow in this fascinating world that has been a proven winner with viewers on both linear and streaming platforms. Featuring the stunning backdrop of Australia, the new series will incorporate the high-stakes intrigue, humor and camaraderie that have kept fans captivated by the ‘NCIS’ teams for over two decades."
