It's no doubt that Shane West was every girl's crush in the early 2000's. The Louisiana-born actor had once admitted to Rolling Stone magazine: "I always thought I would be doing music rather than acting." By the time he was 17, he already made his acting debut on the CBS series Picket Fences

A Walk to Remember: Shane West then and now

Shane West's role as "Landon Carter" / Mandy Moore's love interest stole the hearts of many, where he even won a Teen Choice Award for Choice Chemistry. After the success of that tear-jerking film, West starred in other films, including The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003) and What We Do Is Secret (2007).

Fun fact: What We Do Is Secret is a biographical film about the punk rocker Darby Crash who was the frontman for the punk rock band, the Germs. West ended up touring with the band in real life

West found more success in television shows than in film roles, where he had main roles in multiple series, such as ER, Nikita and Salem. Most recently, he appeared in a few episodes of the Fox series Gotham.

Today, it seems like corona quarantine has kept his life super low-key, like many others. However, he did release a new album with his current band, the Twilight Creeps just last year!

We're still obsessed that he and Mandy have remained close friends after all these years!

So far, it doesn't appear that he has a love interest in real life, so we can still keep dreaming.
