It all went down on TikTok, where a fan commented on one of Goulding's recent posts: "Can't believe you cheated on Ed with Niall but slay." 

Surprisingly, Goulding wrote back to the fan. "False!!!! But also slay," she replied, according to a TikTok screenshot.

So there you have it. Ellie and Ed did NOT split because of Niall Horan! All these years later, Ellie Goulding has put the rumour to rest...
