Henry Thomas, known as "Elliott" in the 1982 film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in Oregon this Monday. The Tualatin Police Department revealed they found the actor passed out behind the wheel, after they received a call at around 8.30pm reporting a car that wasn't moving in the middle of a residential intersection.
Police officers had to wake Henry Thomas up to take him to the Washington County Jail. After being booked for a misdemeanor for driving under the influence, he was released on Tuesday morning on his own recognizance. His first court date is scheduled for November 1st.

Henry Thomas became famous in the early 1980's for his role in Steven Spielberg's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Later on he starred in several projects including films like Fever (1999), Red Velvet (2008), and most recently Gerald's Game (2017).
