Dwayne Johnson has shared that he wasn't happy about Vin Diesel begging for his Fast & Furious return! In a new interview with CNN, Johnson spoke about the social media incident for the first time, explaining why it caught him off guard.

Johnson says there's "no chance" he'd return to franchise

Johnson said that he was "very surprised" to see Diesel's Instagram post, especially since they had talked months prior. He revealed that while he would "always be supportive" of those involved in the Fast & Furious movies, he stated there was "no chance" he would be in another one.

Despite this fact, Diesel took to social media last month with a heartfelt plea for The Rock to come back and reprise his character of "Luke Hobbs" in the action-packed film series. Johnson told CNN that he wasn't pleased by how his former co-star chose to mention both Paul Walker and his kids in the post, calling this "an example of his manipulation."

Johnson went on to mention his "amazing journey" with the franchise, commenting on how it's "unfortunate that this public dialogue has muddied the waters." The star last played "Luke Hobbs" in the 2019 Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw, sharing the screen with Jason Statham. 2017's The Fate of the Furious marked the last time he and Diesel acted together.
