Despite everything — including the Jan. 6 riots and even running for president against the man himself — Kanye West says he's still a supporter of Donald Trump.

Today, the 44-year-old rapper made a range of headlines in a new interview on the Drink Champs podcast. One moment from the show included Kanye commenting on Trump, the disgraced former US president. Here's what he had to say.

Kanye West still supports Donald Trump

You'll recall that Kanye was long one of Trump's biggest celebrity backers and a proud owner of the infamous red Make America Great Again hat.

That was, until the rapper mounted his own ill-fated run for office late in the 2020 US presidential election. Both Trump and West, of course, came up short as Joe Biden was elected president.

So where is Kanye at today, with regards to politics and Trump? When his "red hat days" were referenced on Drink Champs, he told the show: "I still got a red hat on today. I'll let y'all know that.

"I might not got it on," he said, as he hasn't actually worn the MAGA hat in some time, "but I'll let y'all know where I stand," he added.

It remains to be seen if either Trump or West, who recently changed his name to just Ye, will make another run for the White House in 2024.

When Kanye came up well short of contention in 2020, he responded with a tweet only reading: "KANYE 2024."

Trump, meanwhile, is lingering in the aftermath of his loss to Biden and the US Capitol riots. The 75-year-old recently launched his own social media platform as he remains banned from most online services.
