Marilyn Manson is now being investigated following several allegations of domestic violence. As People reports, it was announced on Friday that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is taking legal action by looking into claims of the singer's past abuse, which recently came to light.

Manson allegations between 2009 and 2011 looked into 

Manson was recently accused of domestic abuse by multiple women, and the LASD released a statement to People acknowledging they're taking action in regards to the situation. "The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Special Victims Bureau is investigating allegation(s) of domestic violence involving Mr. Brian Warner also known as 'Marilyn Manson,' who works in the music industry," they said. 

The statement also mentioned the specific time frame being investigated, which is based on the allegations that have been levelled against Manson. "The incidents occurred between 2009 and 2011," it read, "when Mr. Warner lived in the city of West Hollywood." As People mentions, Manson was dropped by his record label and management team amidst the troubling claims.

Manson allegations began after Evan Rachel Wood's post

Manson was first accused of domestic violence by Evan Rachel Wood, who spoke out against the singer on Instagram earlier this month. The actress made a statement alleging that she had suffered horrific abuse from Manson. She was in a relationship with him from 2007 to 2010, and the two were even engaged at one point.

Wood wasn't the only one to come forward with claims against Manson, with many others speaking up following her statement. As People mentions, close to a dozen women have since alleged that they have been victims of Manson's domestic abuse, including Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco.
