  • THIS is Matt LeBlanc's farewell

In a touching Instagram tribute that's tugging at the heartstrings of fans worldwide, Matt LeBlanc has bid a heartfelt farewell to his 'Friends' co-star and close pal, Matthew Perry, who passed away on October 28 at the age of 54. The news has sent shockwaves through the celebrity circuit, with fans and stars alike sharing an outpouring of love and memories.

Matt and Matthew were thick as thieves

"Matthew. It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye," LeBlanc penned, alongside nostalgic 'Friends' set photos. "The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life... I'll never forget you. Never." The bond between LeBlanc's "Joey" and Perry's "Chandler" was the epitome of TV bromance, and their off-screen friendship was just as genuine.

The mystery still shrouds the cause of Perry's untimely death, with officials finding him unresponsive in his LA home's hot tub, no signs of foul play or drugs in sight. The 'Friends' family, including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer, expressed their devastation, stating:

"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty's family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."

He was much more than a friend

Maggie Wheeler and Paget Brewster also shared their grief and admiration for Perry's talent and warmth. Brewster urged fans to read Perry's book, his legacy of helping others.

"The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on," Wheeler wrote on Instagram. "I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared."

But beyond TV stars, major Hollywood heavyweights like Salma Hayek also felt the loss.

"Throughout the years, he and I found ourselves reminiscing about that meaningful time in our lives with a deep sense of nostalgia and gratitude. My friend, you are gone much too soon, but I will continue to cherish your silliness, your perseverance, and your lovely heart. Farewell, sweet Matthew, we will never forget you," she said on Instagram.
