Naomi Watts is allowing herself to acknowledge all her emotions right now, no matter how complicated they may be! On Thursday, Watts took to Instagram with a post in honour of National Stress Awareness Day to share with the world how she's been coping in the midst of the COVID-19 situation.

"I heard that it’s #NationalStressAwarenessDay today," Watts said in her caption, which she posted alongside a close-up photo of herself wearing a hoodie while she looks up at the clear blue sky. "Glad there’s a day for this, as I know we are all feeling it right now. I’m giving myself permission to feel all of it!! Globally!! (And not just on the “stress day”)".

Watts on complex emotions: "It's ok to walk through all of it"

Watts went on to talk about how she's personally been feeling about the state of the world, revealing the complexity of her emotional state on a day-to-day basis. "I feel like I have 7056 different emotions going on all day/everyday. Covering the entire spectrum of dark to light," she admitted.

While Watts ultimately remains positive that the global crisis won't last forever, she said that there's nothing wrong with acknowledging the feelings of the present moment. "It’s ok to walk through all of it…the greatest comfort is knowing that we’re all in it together. Right?" she asked. "I trust we will come through this, having learned so many valuable things along the way.”
