Demi Lovato has shared that she enjoyed getting to collaborate with Ariana Grande on her new album! On Friday, Lovato released Dancing with the Devil... The Art of Starting Over, which includes a track called "Met Him Last Night" where she duets with the singer.

Lovato says Grande conceptualized their duet

Lovato's comments came during an interview with YouTube's Released, which was streamed the night before her new album dropped. She mentioned that she and Grande are "really good friends," revealing that the future Voice coach was inspired to work with Lovato after hearing one of her new songs!

"I played her "Dancing With the Devil" and she was really, really excited about that and she came up with this concept," Lovato said of collaborating with Grande on the track. "And when she played it for me, I was like 'Oh my gosh, yes, absolutely! I would love to do this.'"

Lovato "had so much fun" duetting with Grande

Lovato went on to say that she "was so excited to get to work with" Grande, enthusing that the two "had so much fun singing together." It's worth noting that she and the "positions" singer share a manager, Scooter Braun! Last year, Grande also teamed up with Lady Gaga for the dance-pop hit "Rain On Me".

Dancing with the Devil... The Art of Starting Over is Lovato's first new album in years, following 2017's Tell Me You Love Me. It shares part of its name with Lovato's recently released YouTube docuseries, which sees the singer opening up about her journey over the past few years following her drug overdose.
