Taylor Swift is getting ready to share her re-recorded music with the world! As People shares, Swift made an appearance on Good Morning America on Thursday, where she revealed that she's already made a new version of one of her first albums.

Swift to drop "Love Story" as first re-recorded single

Swift lost the legal rights to the recordings of her first five albums in 2018, when they were bought out from under her by Scooter Braun. But as of November 2020, Swift's contract has allowed her to record her first five albums again— a process that she mentioned back in 2019 she was "very excited about doing."

As People shares, the singer announced on GMA that she's recorded a new version of one of her first hits, "Love Story"! The new version of "Love Story" was first heard in a commercial for dating website Match last year, which led fans to speculate that the full version was coming soon. Swift said that the song will drop on midnight at February 12— and that the rest of the album is on the way!

Swift announces new version of her album Fearless

Swift revealed that "Love Story" isn't the only re-recorded song that fans will be hearing in the new future, sharing that she's completed the process for the entirety of her album Fearless! In a special message Swift shared on social media, she shared that Fearless (Taylor's Version) is on the way, consisting of 26 songs— 6 of which have never been released!

"i want you to have the whole story, see the entire vivid picture, and let you into the dreamscape that is my fearless album," she explained. And while her post itself didn't include a release date for the album, Swift divulged that information in a special message meant for her fans to decode, using capital letters to spell out "APRIL NINTH"!
