• King Charles III could override the Queen's wishes
  • He plans to bestow a title on Princess Charlotte
  • This should actually go to Prince Edward

Little Princess Charlotte (7), as reported by The Sun, is to become the Duchess of Edinburgh which was a title formerly held by Queen Elizabeth.

"It would be a fitting way to remember the Queen — who, of course, had the title Duchess of Edinburgh — and a way for His Majesty to honor the line of succession," a royal insider reveals to The Sun.

Does King Charles give Princess Charlotte a title?

This could lead to disputes with King Charles' (74) brother Prince Edward (58), who, as a Mail on Sunday insider reports, the title should actually go to.

The title is said to have been promised to Edward by the Queen and Prince Philip should he marry Sophie Rhys-Jones (57). He complied with this wish, so he should receive the title.
