Harry & Meghan Honour Princess Diana In Touching Way With Pregnancy Reveal
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's pregnancy announcement honoured the memory of Princess Diana. On Sunday, they shared the baby news with a statement and a new portrait, but the tribute to Diana actually came in a subtle and personal detail for Prince Harry and his family. Here's the tribute that was noticed in when the Duke and Duchess chose to reveal the news...
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan followed in the footsteps of Princess Diana by sharing their news of baby no. 2 on Valentine's Day.
On Sunday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed they're expecting their second child, making for fittingly sweet news on the romantic holiday. And it turns out that they did so just as Princess Diana did on Valentine's Day 1984, when she was expecting her second child.

Of course, the detail carries especially significant meaning for Prince Harry, as he was that second child. Royal journalist Omid Scobie pointed out the Valentine's Day tribute with reference to a 1984 Daily Express front page, which reported on Prince Charles and Princess Diana's pregnancy news 37 years ago.

Harry was born on Sept. 15, 1984, and his parents shared their news nearly seven months to the day prior. He and Duchess Meghan have now done the same this Valentine's Day, 37 years later, as they confirmed they are "overjoyed" to be expecting a second child of their own.

Through their spokesperson, Harry and Meghan shared the news via a statement: "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child."
The big news was released alongside the above picture, showing the expecting parents in a loving pose against a natural backdrop. The Valentine's Day nod to Princess Diana is far from the first time Harry and Meghan have honoured her memory. Just in recent months, they planted seeds of her favourite flower while visiting a school on the day marking the 23rd anniversary of Diana's death.
Prince Harry will also be returning to the UK to join his brother in unveiling a commemorative statue of their mother in July, at which time he may be a father of two—Meghan's due date isn't known just yet.
