Ah, Fridays at the pub.

Prince William was one of the U.K.'s first diners to enjoy such an experience in some time when he visited the Rose & Crown pub in Snettisham, Norfolk, on Friday.

The Duke of Cambridge's Friday stop-in came one day before pubs and stores can reopen over the weekend amid easing of lockdown restrictions in the U.K.

"The Duke popped into the local pub in Norfolk to wish the staff well and hear how they have adapted their operations in order to allow them to return to a new normal," the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said of the visit on their Instagram account.

"Wishing everyone a safe weekend," the post added.

Prince William takes in a glass of cider during July 3 pub visit

During the visit, Prince William ordered a plate of fries and a glass of Aspall cider as he and the pub owners and staff exchanged stories of adapting to life during the pandemic.

"He was really interested and he wanted to understand what kind of measures we've had to take to prepare for reopening," landlord Jeannette Goodrich told Eastern Daily Press. "He didn’t just want to speak to us," she added, referring to herself and husband Anthony Goodrich. "[William] spoke to Lucy Heffer, duty manager, and Phil Milner, head chef."

Family life in lockdown was also discussed. Goodrich revealed that William spoke on how he and his family have "been very lucky — they've been in Norfolk all the time, they've had space and sunshine. He realized how difficult it's been for people in cities."

Duke & Duchess of Cambridge support local businesses upon reopening

People reports that the Duke's stay at the pub lasted 45 minutes on Friday.

The same day, his children Prince George and Princess Charlotte also enjoyed the milestone of their final day in the school year, which had transitioned to homeschooling with their parents during the lockdown period.

It's also another visit by Prince William to a local business in recent weeks, as both he and Duchess Kate stepped out to support small business owners on June 19.
