King Charles: Honor to Queen

On New Year's Eve, several honorary titles are traditionally awarded by the British monarch. This time, a musician with special connections to the royal family was there.

Guitarist of the band Queen, Brian May, was awarded an impressive accolade. In the list of new honorees published by the palace, the reason for his honor is his contributions to "music and charity".

The musician was very pleased with his new title as he revealed on Instagram: "I'm very thrilled and very touched by the love that's come from you and the support. I will do my very best to be worthy."

Also interesting:

Dr. Sir Brian Harold May, CBE - as he may now call himself - was allowed to perform several times for the Royals with his band Queen.

Most recently, the musicians were one of the main acts for Queen Elizabeth's (†96) Platinum Jubilee concert in 2022.
