2022 in review with the British Royal Family
Queen Elizabeth's 70th anniversary. It's not everyday you get to celebrate a 70th anniversary. But that's what Queen Elizabeth II managed in her reign, and the royals had a big celebration in her honour.
It was a nice moment for the Queen and her family, and it would ultimately be a final goodbye of sorts for the monarch. And of course, William and Kate's youngest Prince Louis put on a good show.

The tour was also controversial. Certain moments were scrutinized, and the royals were met with protests and anti-monarchy sentiment.
The royal year after Queen Elizabeth's death
Charles becomes King. The royal world was completely shaken up when the Queen passed away in September 2022. She was 96 years old.
Her son ascended the throne as King Charles III, joined by his wife Camilla as his Queen Consort. With the change, Prince William became the heir to the throne, and he and Kate the new Prince and Princess of Wales.
