- Prince Harry got candid again in a new interview for Spare
- He says he "worries" about other royal "spares"
- Harry talked about discussing his concerns with Prince William
Prince Harry has made a provocative new comment about the children of Prince William and Princess Kate.
Lately, Harry has been describing all the ways the Royal Family wronged him. For him, much of it goes back to being a "spare" – a child born after the heir to the throne.
But Prince Harry now says he doesn't want history repeating itself. He believes it's his "responsibility" to protect other "spares" from the struggles he experienced.
Prince Harry gets candid about George, Charlotte, and Louis
As he explained in a new interview with The Telegraph, Prince Harry is looking out for his brother Prince William's younger children.
"If it's not us," Harry said, referencing his difficulties with the royals, "it's going to be someone else."
William and Kate's eldest Prince George is the future heir, but the younger Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis could end up in a position similar to his own.
Harry explained: "Though William and I have talked about it once or twice, and he has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility, I still feel a responsibility knowing that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the spare."
Also interesting:
"And that hurts, that worries me," he added. An interesting comment from Prince Harry – and one that William and Kate probably wish he didn't make public!
Prince William became heir to the throne when his father Charles became King in 2022. His eldest son George is next in the line of succession, followed by Charlotte and Louis.
We'll see if Prince Harry gets involved further as Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis get older...
