In 1992 during the premiere of ‘The Prince of Tides’ in London, the actress got to sit next to Princess Diana, according to her memoir ‘My Name Is Barbra’ At one point the audience applauded the film, and as Streisand explains, Diana encouraged her to stand up and embrace the cheers.
Diana Was Very Nice With Barbra
Diana went so far as to literally give her a “little push” and quickly zipped up her skirt, which had unzipped when she had sat down:
“The zipper on my skirt had come down a bit as I was sitting, and she noticed and quickly started to zip it up for me as I got to my feet.”
Curiously enough, Streisand and Charles had met before he married Diana, and according to ‘People’, Charles even had a crush on the actress.
