Chris Noth will no longer appear in The Equalizer following the sexual assault allegations against him. As People reports, CBS made a statement in conjunction with Universal Television on Monday stating that Noth's time on the hit show has come to an end.

Noth finished with The Equalizer "immediately"

Noth played "William Bishop" on The Equalizer, which began airing in February of this year. However, fans of the Queen Latifah-fronted drama will have to say goodbye to "William," as CBS and Universal Television announced that the actor is now off the show. Their statement says that Noth "will no longer film additional episodes of The Equalizer, effective immediately."

Even though he will no longer be working on the show, People mentions that Noth will still appear as "William" in an upcoming episode of The Equalizer. While his unexpected departure from HBO Max's new Sex and the City spinoff And Just Like That... occurred before the allegations against Noth came to light, this marks the second series the actor has exited as of late.
