The medical show that makes you sick?! Sandra Oh opens up about her experiences on Grey's Anatomy.

She says that her life has changed a lot because of her role. She learned to rely on others but also to put herself first. However, as a result of her fame from the popular hospital series, Oh had to deal not only with success but also with illness and pain.

Sandra Oh dealt with illnesses because of Grey's Anatomy

Sandra Oh described the symptoms that occurred during the filming of Grey's Anatomy. She told Variety's Actors on Actors series: "My whole body was very, very sick.

"Even though you keep on working, but it's just like, 'Oh, I can't sleep. Oh, my back hurts, I don't know what's wrong with my skin.'"

But the actress, who played "Cristina Yang" on Grey's Anatomy, has learned from her experiences. "I learned that I had to take care of my health first," she said. "That's not only your body. That is your soul. That is definitely your mind."

Oh added: "You have to somehow find it within yourself. You ask people's opinions, yes of course, but ultimately, we are alone with ourselves."

Grey's Anatomy is heading into season 19, but Sandra Oh hasn't been part of the cast since 2014. Her new TV show Killing Eve also concluded this year.
