Killing Eve premiere: AMC "literally couldn't wait for fans to see it"

Killing Eve moving up its premiere date came as a welcome surprise to fans of the hit psychological spy thriller, which stars Emmy winner Jodie Comer and Emmy nominee Sandra Oh. As Variety reports, production being suspended on two of AMC's flagship shows— The Walking Dead and its spin-off, Fear the Walking Dead— meant that there was an empty space in AMC's lineup of television programming.

On the decision to move Killing Eve forward, AMC Studios president Sarah Barnett explained that a large part of it has to do with the show's devoted fanbase. "We know how adored this series is and we know how keen people are for great content right now," Barnett said in a statement. "This season of Killing Eve digs deep psychologically, and with actors like Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, and Fiona Shaw the results are nothing short of astonishing. We literally couldn’t wait for fans to see it".
