Cate Blanchett stars as one of four leads in the refugee drama, Stateless.

Stateless is a six-part series about refugees dealing with the immigration system in Australia. The series was commissioned by Australia's public broadcaster, ABC. 

Netflix recently acquired the rights to distribute the show.

Cate Blanchett leads the cast of Stateless on Netflix

According to a special feature in Variety, Cate Blanchett will star in Stateless alongside Yvonne Strahovsky, Dominic West (The Wire), Jai Courtney, Asher Keddie, Fayssal Bazzi, and Soraya Heidari - most of whom are Australian actors.

Stateless is a drama with social implications. The show's creators explain: "Our hope is that Stateless will generate a global conversation around our systems of border protection and how our humanity has been affected by them."

Cate Blanchett: Movies with the acclaimed actress

Stateless is the newest project for the acclaimed actress, Cate Blanchett. 

She's earned Oscar wins for her roles in The Aviator and Blue Jasmine.

The Australian actress is also known for parts in popular franchises like The Lord of the Rings and, in the MCU, as "Hela" in Thor: Ragnarok

Stateless premieres this March in Australia, so it should make its debut on Netflix sometime in the near future. Keep this one in mind moving forward!
