The tragic life of the ALF actor Max Wright

Back in the day, The Daily Mail shared some shocking details about Max Wright's personal life, including a couple of arrests for driving under the influence, as well as his alleged participation in a twisted sex and drugs scandal. Not to mention the ALF star had been dealing with health issues due to his 1955 lymphoma diagnosis.

While it seems Max Wright's life was quite turbulent, he remained married to his longtime wife Linda Ybarrondo until her death in 2017. His career continued for a couple of years too, in fact he appeared in some famous TV shows like Friends and Quantum Leap. Sadly, it eventually fell down and his final role was in the 2005 film Back to Norm.

The Daily Mail also reported that the last times the actor was seen in public, he looked "nearly unrecognizable and dishevelled". Some ALF fans believe Max Wright was one of those stars who simply could not deal with fame and success very well, which eventually led to his downfall. Max Wright will always be remembered as the funny "Willie Tanner" and will have a special place in our hearts!
