Season 7 Bachelorette star Ashley Hebert and her husband, J.P. Rosenbaum have decided to end their marriage. Ashley and her season winner have been married for almost 8 years since their wedding that was aired for Bachelor Nation. The two share 6-year-old son Ford and 3-year-old daughter Essie.
Ashley wrote on her Instagram along with a romantic photo of her and J.P. dancing, "It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that, after months of separation, Jp and I have amicably decided to go our separate ways. We created the most beautiful children and shared memories that will never be forgotten. Our difference have taken a toll on our relationship and after years of attempting to repair the damage, we've decided that it is in our family's best interest to create new and separate lives for our children."
J.P also wrote an emotional message on his Instagram, saying, "I have written and re-written this post dozens of times and each time I feel the same level of disbelief and extreme sadness. While I realize that this will come as a complete shock to everyone, I can assure you that this is something that has been developing in our relationship for quite a while." After explaining their separation he also begged fans to be kind, "Please please know that there is no one to blame, that there's no event that triggered this decision, that no one is the victim, and that we've done absolutely everything we possibly can to try to salvage this marriage."
The two were recently featured on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons -Ever! where they told host Chris Harrison that they were doing well, especially after J.P.'s scary diagnosis of Guillain-Barré Syndrome the year before. The autoimmune disorder causes the body's immune system to affect its nerves with very scary outcomes like paralysis.
