• Adele has talked about her postponed Las Vegas residency
  • The singer plans to do the rescheduled shows this year
  • Adele is looking to take time away from the industry

Adele has revealed that she's already planning her upcoming return to Las Vegas! The star appeared on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, where she talked about rescheduling her highly-anticipated residency.

Adele says her residency will "absolutely" be in 2022

Adele announced last November that she would be headlining a special series of weekend residency shows in Las Vegas. Unfortunately she wasn't able to kick things off as planned due to COVID-19. Just days before her residency was scheduled to start, Adele found herself having to postpone it, saying she was "gutted" by the decision in a video message. However, she has revealed that fans can expect her Vegas return this year!

"The sooner I can announce the better, but I just can’t in case we are not ready in time," Adele shared. However, she is confident that Weekends with Adele will be going ahead at some point this year, saying her residency "is absolutely 100 percent happening" in 2022. And while she didn't confirm or deny recent rumours she's engaged, the singer has also hinted at having "plans for next year" already.

Adele also made a bittersweet announcement, saying that she "will be disappearing in terms of my music" once her residency is over. Fans will no doubt be disappointed that we won't hear from Adele again for some time, especially after she swept this year's Brit Awards with her latest album 30. However, she has said that she "won't be in complete hiding" when she steps away from the spotlight, explaining she just needs to "recharge."
