Scott Disick Checked Into Rehab For Mental Health

Recently it was leaked to the press that KUWTK star Scott Disick had checked into a rehab facility in Colorado after a photo of him in a Zoom meeting at the facility was published. At first, sources told the media that Kourtney Kardashian's ex was in rehab over substance abuse issues to which he had gone previously for in 2015.

But now Scott's attorney Marty Singer spoke with E! News about the truth behind the claims. Singer told E! "In an effort to finally come to terms and deal with the pain that Scott has been silently suffering for many years due to the sudden death of his mother, followed by the death of his father 3 months later, Scott made the decision to check himself into a rehab facility last week to work on his past traumas. He did not check-in for any alcohol or cocaine abuse."

Scott's Emotional Journey Since Losing His Parents

Scott has been open about his emotional struggles on his family show and in a recent episode of KUWTK, he said "Losing my parents is not an easy subject for me to talk about. It puts me in a very vulnerable place, to remember them and think about them." After his parents' sudden passing he had a very public spiral in 2014/2015 with his infidelities and substance issues. Many who have similarly lost parents can relate to the incredible weight the loss can bear on the mind and heart.

Scott has since worked very hard to earn back his reputation and has focused on being an amazing father to his 3 children with Kourtney. His lawyer is going to be taking legal action against the rehab facility for the leaked photo and invasion of privacy. E!'s sources say the Kardashian family and his girlfriend Sofia Richie are in full support of Scott's aim to repair his mental health.

We wish Scott all the best in this trying time and want to remind those stuck at home because of quarantine to make sure to take care of your mental health.
