Carole Middleton can't wait to spend time with her family once lockdown is over! In an interview for the cover of Good Housekeeping, the Duchess of Cambridge's mother talked about her hopes for 2021, revealing what she wants to do most after quarantine.
Middleton confirms her daughter Pippa is pregnant
Carole said she's looking forward to being able to see her loved ones again as soon as it's safe, since she had to spend much of 2020 away from them. "I also hope to see more of my family than I could last year, including, of course, my new grandchild," she said. Her comment marks the first official confirmation of daughter Pippa Middleton's pregnancy, which was reported back in December!
She also talked about how excited she is to see her grandkids again! "I want to run down the hills, climb the trees and go through the tunnel at the playground," Carole shared. "I cook with them, I muck around dancing, we go on bike rides." Aside from Pippa's son Arthur, Carole is also grandmother to Duchess Kate and Prince William's children— Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Carole shares why she wants to "have a big party"
Carole went on to talk about wanting her grandkids to have an appreciation for the world around them. She told Good Housekeeping that she hopes to help them "really see the value of being able to appreciate nature and be active outdoors," which is something that William and Kate have been instilling in their children as well.
Over the past few months, Carole said her family has gotten "good at doing video calls," and even competed in virtual quizzes together. However, she shared that she can't wait to return to in-person events. "At some point, I'd like to have a big party," she said, admitting that while she runs the online shop Party Pieces, she hasn't actually thrown a celebration herself!
