Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have written a special message for the new year on behalf of their newest cause! As People shares, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently updated the website for their non-profit foundation Archewell to include a powerful letter they penned!

Harry and Meghan honour mothers with Archewell 

Harry and Meghan shared the featured piece, titled "A Letter For 2021," on the Archewell home page. "I am my mother’s son. And I am our son’s mother. Together we bring you Archewell,” the couple writes. In the background, a childhood photo of Harry and his mother Princess Diana can be seen, as well as one of Meghan with her mom, Doria Ragland!

"We believe in the best of humanity. Because we have seen the best of humanity," the Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue. "We have experienced compassion and kindness, from our mothers and strangers alike. In the face of fear, struggle and pain, it can be easy to lose sight of this."

Harry and Meghan finish their letter on a hopeful note, urging people to take up their mission. "Together, we can choose to put compassion in action," they conclude. "We invite you to join us as we work to build a better world, one act of compassion at a time."

As People mentions, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also announced exciting new partnerships for their non-profit! Some of the organizations Archewell will be working with include the Center for Humane Technology, and World Central Kitchen. They have also joined forces with Dr. James Doty, a Stanford University professor interested in the science of compassion!

Harry and Meghan recently started Archewell Audio

Harry and Meghan have been working on a variety of projects under the Archewell brand after signing some notable business deals! The royals have a deal with Netflix to produce content through Archewell Productions, and recently released a Spotify podcast called Archewell Audio— which also saw their son, Archie, make his spoken debut!

As People reports, Toya Holness, the Press Secretary of Archewell, released a statement about the changes made to the organization's website. "Founded earlier this year by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex," she began, "Archewell uplifts communities through non-profit partnerships and creative activations."

"It’s a place where compassion matters, communities gather, and storytelling is the engine," Holness continued. "The website has been updated to reflect the work Archewell has undertaken throughout 2020 and to create a place for people and communities around the world to share their stories." With 2020 coming to an end, we look forward to seeing what Harry and Meghan have planned for Archewell in the year to come!
