Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's newborn daughter differs a good amount from the other great-grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth II.

Lilibet Diana was named after her great-grandmother the Queen and her late grandmother Princess Diana. The birth announcement was also rather different from what we're used to with Prince William and Duchess Kate's children, for example.

Lilibet Diana is second royal baby born in the United States

Lilibet Diana was also born in the United States — a first for the Royal Family, you might think. To the contrary, she's not the first royal to be welcomed into the world on American soil.

This first for the British royals occurred back in 2013 with the birth of Maud Windsor. The 7-year-old belongs to the Royal Family, though she is not a direct descendant of the Queen.

Her parents are Sophie Winkleman and Lord Frederick Windsor, the son of Prince Michael of Kent, who is the Queen's cousin.

Interestingly, little Maud is also nicknamed Elizabeth. Her mother Sophie works as an actress, and she is known for roles on series such as Two and a Half Men. Maud was born in Los Angeles while her parents were in the US.
