On the day of the outing, royal fans were treated to a fun series of Cambridge couple pictures at a Barry Island arcade. Now, William and Kate have honoured their hosts with one of the best photos from the outing!

In the photo, the Duke and Duchess are caught unawares while trying their hand at the arcade's claw machine game. Kate lovingly places a hand on her husband's back while he attempts to secure a toy for their children.

Both William and Kate came up short on the claw game, but their affection and enthusiasm at the arcade had royal fans delighted. Plus, the business owners still came through with toys for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The kindhearted royals had set out to South Wales to learn how the tourism industry is recovering from setbacks of the COVID-19 pandemic. Reflecting on the visit, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wrote on Instagram: "Thank you Wales for the lovely reception yesterday.

"It was great to see communities and businesses starting to get back up and running, following a difficult few months for the tourism industry and the wider economy."

The Cambridges' visit to Wales included a stop at a café on Barry Island as well as a care home in Cardiff. You can revisit the full series of pictures here!
