  • The NCIS showrunner commented on a reunion

Do you want "Tony DiNozzo" back on NCIS? The popular character was played by Michael Weatherly until he exited in season 13. Ever since, Weatherly had been starring on Bull, but the series came to an end last night after six seasons.

Is NCIS in Michael Weatherly's future after Bull?

Michael Weatherly was last seen as "Tony DiNozzo" on NCIS in 2016. With Bull over, the NCIS showrunner just opened up about the chances of seeing Weatherly make a comeback — and it sounds pretty promising.

NCIS exec producer Steven D. Binder told TV Insider that he "would absolutely love" to have "Tony" guest star but that it is "going to depend on Michael Weatherly."

He explained that he and the actor are good friends and they have discussed a reunion in the past. However, the producer said it "seemed weird and not right" for Weatherly to appear on NCIS while he was on Bull.
