- Jennifer Beals appearing on Law & Order: Organized Crime
- Beals alludes to what her character is like
- The actress comments on working on the series
Jennifer Beals is making her return to television this week with Law & Order: Organized Crime! Beals recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her exciting new role as "Cassandra" in the series, hinting at the kind of character fans can expect.
Beals says filming Law & Order was "really interesting"
Beals, who is famous for playing "Alex Owens" in Flashdance and "Bette Porter" on The L Word, has given some insight into what her latest role will be like! She told Entertainment Tonight's Will Marfuggi that "there’s a little Lady Macbeth happening" when it comes to "Cassandra," who is married to Mykelti Williamson's "Preston Webb".
The actress also mentioned the "more serialized" nature of storytelling that the Law & Order spinoff allows for, which she called "really, really interesting for an actor." And while the "Lady Macbeth" allusion suggests "Cassandra" is calculating, Beals told Entertainment Tonight last month that her character is also someone whose "intentions are all really good."
Beals also shared she was excited to work on Organized Crime since The L Word co-creator Ilene Chaiken, who she called "so smart and wise and talented," serves as showrunner. Beals' Law & Order debut comes in the episode "Takeover," which will be airing on Thursday, and we look forward to seeing what her character has in store!
