Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy is celebrating a huge milestone, especially for the perpetual party boy! He is an entire year sober and feels great!

Vanderpump Rules Star James Kennedy Is One Year Sober!

Bravo fans know him for his brutally honest comments and wild (mostly drunken) behavior on Vanderpump Rules. While James Kennedy is known to bring the party or liven a boring one up, sometimes his drinking went too far and pushed him into dangerous territory, often damaging friendships or humiliating his boss Lisa Vanderpump.

Apparently, it was his girlfriend Raquel Leviss who ended up being the deciding factor for him. James would become verbally abusive to sweet Raquel and she gave him an ultimatum saying "I've been letting you kind of circle into drinking, not drinking, and then getting back to normal again and being good. I think about the way you talk to me when you're drunk. It scares me because if we have kids together, I don't want to put them in any situation relatively close to that. You understand? And if you can't get your s*** together, then we will break up." This is what helped motivate James to maintain his sobriety.

The 28-year-old posted an adorable selfie with his pup Graham, with the caption "Hey everyone just wanted to let you all know I've made it to my one year sober today. Letting go of drinking was the best decision I ever made and I'm going strong. I don't miss the booze... I don't miss the feeling... I'm so grateful for everything now and life has become more beautiful in many ways."

He also made sure to give a nod to the person he owes his year of being clean to, Raquel. "Thank you to my rock @raquellleviss for getting me here I couldn't of done this without you my love, and thank you all for the support this past year." Co-star Scheana Shay commented "Sooooo proud of you!!!!!"

Unsurprisingly, James has had a year with very little cast member beef or drama! What a coincidence.
