These Royals Are Reportedly Against Prince Andrew Making A Comeback

Though the Royal Family has appeared to stand by Prince Andrew throughout his alleged sex crime scandal, most of the senior royals are entirely against him and his dreams of a royal comeback, reports in the British press revealed this weekend. Here are the family members working against the disgraced Duke of York behind closed doors.

Prince Andrew's dreams of a royal comeback have taken a pretty significant hit, it was revealed over the weekend.

Reports have always claimed the disgraced royal thinks he can escape his alleged sex crime scandal and return to public life. But a pair of new reports now say that most high-ranking royals are entirely opposed to Andrew ever representing the family again.

Prince Andrew's royal comeback opposed by family members

The new reports in the British press have basically all the senior royals, except for the Queen, strongly against Prince Andrew resuming royal work.

His three siblings, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward, are said to have had a summit early this year where they agreed "there was no way back" for their brother, The Sun reported this weekend.

In Prince Charles, the soon-to-be king, there is a major power working against Andrew, should he even escape the ongoing lawsuit for his alleged sexual assault of Virginia Roberts Giuffre when she was underage — a claim that the Duke has always denied.

Nor does Prince Andrew have an ally in his nephew Prince William, the future king after his father Prince Charles.

"William is no fan of Uncle Andrew," a source told The Sunday Times this week, with another source adding that he views Andrew as "a risk" and "a threat to the family."

Prince Andrew has not represented the royals in any official capacity since he stepped down from duties in early 2020. That was shortly after he tried to defend himself on the Epstein scandal and abuse allegations in a disastrous late-2019 BBC interview.

Prince Andrew did, however, appear alongside his family at the April 2021 funeral of Prince Philip and in the recent documentary tribute to his late father.

Prince Andrew apparently surprised royals by speaking at Prince Philip's funeral.

At the funeral, it reportedly came as a surprise to the family when Andrew emerged and spoke to the press about Prince Philip, seemingly taking advantage of his rare moment out of seclusion.

He's continued to live at Royal Lodge on Windsor Great Park throughout the scandal, and he's still in the midst of fighting the new lawsuit filed against him in the United States.

The news also follows a recent report that said Prince Andrew wants to remarry Fergie if he escapes the lawsuit, potentially as part of an image rehabilitation campaign.
