The Royal Family has Prince Philip on the mind today.

The Duke of Edinburgh would have turned 100 years old today. It's now also been two months since he died on April 9. With the loss still fresh, here's how the Royals paid tribute to Prince Philip on his birth anniversary.

Royal Family tributes on Prince Philip's would-be 100th birthday

Ahead of the sad but commemorative day, Queen Elizabeth II received a beautiful gift of a rose named in her late husband's memory.

On social media, the Royal Family shared photos of the Queen receiving the rose, along with a throwback of the monarch standing lovingly with Prince Philip.

The Queen chose to spotlight her late husband's work with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, and fans can purchase the new rose named in his honour with all proceeds going to the charity.

Prince William and Duchess Kate also highlighted the Queen's special gift in their tribute to Prince Philip. They wrote: "Remembering His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, on what would have been his 100th birthday."

Meanwhile, Prince Charles chose a picture from his father's final public appearance, when the Duke transferred a military role to Duchess Camilla in 2020, and a sweet childhood throwback of Philip holding the hand of a young Charles in 1951.

Princess Eugenie shared a somewhat more personal note for her late grandfather, writing on Instagram: "Thinking of Grandpa on what would have been his 100th birthday," with a photo of the Queen and her husband.

In an ITV interview today, Princess Anne added of her father: "We all have to move on, but it's important to remember."

Prince Philip passed away at age 99 back on April 9, just two months shy of his 100th birthday. You can get a full look at the Queen's reaction to receiving the Duke of Edinburgh Rose here.
